While Sean J is trying to wrap up his next mixtape The Ego Egg, he decides to put out another track from the project. "Unstoppable", produced by his trademarked beat partner Soy, is not only the 1st official single of The Ego Egg, but is also the opening track. Let this track basically introduce the whole feel for the rest of the project. The Ego Egg mixtape, dropping under Domination Recordings, doesn't have an official release, but should be expected to hit the internet in the next 3-4 weeks. Sean J is also planning on shooting a music video for "Unstoppable".

As a sign of good faith, I am giving you all a little taste of what is to come in the very near future. I am releasing a beat tape titled "Penguin Files: Beats for Lovers", which is a tribute to the soulful beats that got me any recognition in the first place...this of course will be followed up by a mixtape (which I have been writing since the day I left) and eventually a self-titled album.

"After several weeks of patient waiting (greatly helped by some very nice leaks…) we are finally able to listen to it! FTG aka Flip Them Guys’ mixtape Who The Flip? came out today and it was definitely worth the wait. As I told you in previous articles, this mixtape is a compilation of some tracks Sean J and Soy have made together, whether on Sean’s album A Tree By Itself or on other projects, with Civil Mics members and other MCs. It also contains two exclusives, DILLIGAF and Do better. I had never heard some of the tracks before and it is very cool to realize that the quality level is very high and consistent, which promises a heavy rotation future for Who The Flip?

I already underlined the great talent of Soy as a producer and of Sean J as an MC, whose lyrics and flow are simply impressive, and this mixtape is only a confirmation of this talent, as well as an appetizer, making you want to hear more from the duo. Soy is currently in the Army so that won’t happen before a while, but once again I’m sure it will be worth being patient. What makes the tracks really easy to listen to is the mixture of the very nice atmosphere created by Soy’s chilled and head-nodding productions and Sean J’s seemingly effortless flow. The themes he touches upon are as varied as they were on A Tree By Itself, from ego-trip to ladies, music, life and relationships, which is a great way to discover the different sides of the Gemini’s multiple personality.

All the tracks are great as I said, but I have two special mentions, because they left me speechless, with a big smile on my face. First of all, A Trip to the moon, because of the amazing, beautiful production almost brought tears to my eyes (yes, I’m slightly emotional sometimes…). The combination of all the MCs present on this one (MidaZ, Shinobi Stalin, Unique Assassin, AmIAm, and Illustrate from Grey Matter) works very well too and makes it a track I want to play over and over again. Then, Didn’t I? is a great discovery: Soy is not only a great producer, he is also a talented writer and MC! The production is once again remarkable, giving a very nice old-school feeling, and the lyrics are heartfelt and easy to relate to, telling of the evolution of a relationship that didn’t work out eventually.

This project is split up into 3 sections; each section is a different movie genre and each one of us has produced a 10-track movie score for 3 different genres. Funkee Brand is kickin it off with drama, Soy is REAL will be producing the fantasy/adventure moive, and Decline will be takin it back with a Blaxploitation movie score.

Waddup y'all it's Fresh Beat Friday once again...I know a lot of you were expecting me to leak "Soy Kinda Likes Japan: UNCUT" today, buuuut I happened to run into DJ Sureshot at Cleo's Lounge last night and I'm hoping to have the REAL version of the album done by this weekend.
In other news I'd like to give a big shout to King's Offspring for the dope show they put on last night at the AKA Lounge. It's good to help my fellow artists and friends grow musically and I know that these guys will become something great if they stick with it.

Hello world...I told you I'd be back with more news haha.
Although I've spent the majority of my time making music and getting things done before going back to school Monday, I've had the pleasure of finally watching Quentin Tarantino's newest cinematic masterpiece: Inglourious Basterds.

I will admit that some scenes in the movie were a little bit too dragged out, the movie in its entirety was definitely worth the $8.00.

Haha Wat's up folks...
Hope everyone has had a blessed week so far. I'm back here at UCF (yes I am attending school once again) and I'm just chillin' at the MSC as usual. Allow me to update you on my recent activities...

First and foremost, SCHOOOOOOOL!!! I have decided to try school one more time and see how I do, so wish me luck!

In other more exciting news I have been workin hard in the lab cookin up some new headbangers for all you hip hop fiends out there. I'm currently working on my new EP project titled Soul Seekin'. So far I have about half of the beats done, and once that part is completed, I can get to writing and recording this shizzle. I will post a little preview for y'all when I get home tonight so that you can get an idea of where I'm headed with this project...

More importantly, I'd like to send a special birthday shout out to my dad (who is paying for my school once again because I lost my scholarship). I'm grateful that you've put up with so much of my bullcrap and drama and I hope you enjoy your birthday.

As far as upcoming events, don't you dare forget to check out Skillz n'Grillz hosted by the local Koopa Klan. Tickets are on sale NOW for only $10 and if you buy them in advance you get entered in a raffle for a chance to win $30!! Money in the bank ladies and gentlemen. One Long Weekend.

This weekend felt like an eternity, and still not enough to accomplish everything I had set out to do.

I've got some new inspiration though, so it's okay. A small wink and a friendly smile is all i need sometimes, and I got plenty of that this weekend.

A Day @ PR.

So to those of you who didn't get a chance to go, you missed out on a really great get-together at Post Renaissance. Even though the grilling started late (OD late) and it rained a little bit, there was a good turnout and the overall BBQ was superb.

DJ Rod-1, Raiden, Aiesha, and I left the BBQ around 4:30 PM to do the radio show at WPRK 91.5 FM. I've never been in a radio studio before, but the experience was pretty dope. I finally got to see Conshus, Sean, and DJ Sureshot at work live and uncut. There were definitely some dope mixes from Rod and Sureshot and great tracks in general. The vibes were really good and I had a blast being a part of the scene.

Congrats to Syph by the way for coming in at number 1 in the OZONE Top 5. If you missed the show you can always listen in and catch up at the It's OUR Show Website.

So after buggin' out at the WPRK radio station for 2 hours, we headed back to Post Renaissance to finally get our grub on and we ended up just chillin' at the shop until about 11:00 PM. I had a lot of fun just vibing out and enjoying the music with some of the coolest people I know.

Now that the day is done, I'm going to leave you all with a few suggestions for some good music that you must get your hands on.

With that, I'd like to finally say that I'm feeling great and I can't wait for tomorrow.
